Nearly 450 million people worldwide are currently living with a mental illness, yet nearly two thirds of people with a known mental illness never seek treatment. While the stigma is slowly starting to change, people often hesitate to seek help or even talk about their mental health with their loved ones for fear of facing unnecessary backlash. Did you know:
- In Arizona, 257,000 adults have a serious mental illness, 87,000 Arizonans age 12–17 have depression, 1,438 lives were lost to suicide and 237,000 adults had thoughts of suicide in the last year. [Source: Nami.org]
- Arizonans are over 3x more likely to be forced out-of-network for mental health care than for primary health care — making it more difficult to find care and less affordable due to higher out-of-pocket costs [Source: Nami.org]
- Of the 321,000 adults in Arizona who did not receive needed mental health care, 35.3% did not because of cost. 11.1% of people in the state are uninsured [Source: Nami.org]
- 2,862,704 people in Arizona live in a community that does not have enough mental health professionals. [Source: Nami.org]

Arizona Tax Payers: It Won’t Cost You A Penny To Help Save A Life
100% of your donation goes to funding mental health treatment for individuals that are suffering can’t afford it. While there are many amazing charities that exist raising money for research, we want to help the individuals that are suffering NOW as research may be too late – potentially saving a life.
Mental health is worth it, and the donation is free! Here’s how: As a qualified charitable organization with the Arizona Department Of Revenue, you will receive a tax credit: a dollar-for-dollar reduction of the state income tax you owe for your 2022 tax year – up to $400 for individuals and $800 for those filing jointly. A good perspective: Everybody is required by law to pay state taxes: Would you rather pay the state or make an impact on a life?
